About DNS records

DNS (Domain Name System) translates domain names into IP addresses. This tool lets you query public DNS records for any domain.

How to use

1. Type a domain (like example.com).
2. Choose a record type from the dropdown.
3. Click "LOOKUP DNS" to see the records.

You can also click on the example chips to quickly test common domains.

Common record types

  • A – IPv4 address of the domain.
  • AAAA – IPv6 address.
  • MX – mail exchange servers for email.
  • TXT – text information (often used for verification).
  • NS – name servers that host the DNS zone.
  • CNAME – canonical name (alias) pointing to another domain.

About the data

This tool uses Google Public DNS over HTTPS. Queries are anonymous and no logs are stored. Results are shown exactly as returned by the resolver.

Simply enter a domain and see its DNS records.
